Key Elements Of Resolving Conflicts - 2666 Words
One of the main elements in resolving conflicts is the ability to forgive. Forgiveness is both an important part of it and it is of great significance. Having the ability to show forgiveness is one of the first steps in the healing process, after a conflict has occurred in order to find peace and be able to move forward. The purpose of this paper is to explore and research how much of an important and significant role that forgiveness does play in the ability to resolve conflicts. James 5:16 ââ¬Å"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is workingâ⬠(Holy Bible ESV). When a person is able to admit when they are wrong, and take accountability for their actions, that is the first step in being able to not only forgive others but also themselves. Forgiveness may not happen come immediately, and an ââ¬ËIââ¬â¢m sorryââ¬â¢ may not be enough for one person to be able to forgive the other, but one it is a good first step and it opens the door to having reconciliation to be completely successful.
